Phase II: Barents Sea Jurassic and Triassic Reservoir Quality Database

Following on from the highly successful Phase I study, Phase II is a reservoir quality appraisal of the Jurassic and Triassic intervals, designed to be both supplementary and complimentary to the original Phase 1 Stratigraphic Database.

In combination, these reports provide a composite depositional and stratigraphic model for the Jurassic and Triassic of the Norwegian Barents Sea.

All core material from released wells (up to March 2007) was reviewed, augmented by 890 m of detailed core logging and petrographic analysis to cover all of the primary reservoir intervals in the area, including the Stø, Nordmela, Tubåen, Fruholmen, Snadd, Kobbe Klappmyss and Havert Formations. This study is complemented by ongoing annual datapacks (2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011) as newly released wells become available.
