Phase 1 Forties Sandstone Stratigraphic Database, Central North Sea

The Ichron Multi-Client datasets for the UKCS North Sea have focussed on specific horizons to provide an enhanced stratigraphic undertstanding of an area or fairway together with a detailed evaluation of depositional facies and controls on reservoir quality.

The Forties Sandstone Member has been analysed both in terms of stratigraphic complexity and fairway switching and in relation to sediment processes and lateral facies variation. A comparable study of the stratigraphic relationship for the Andrew Sandstone Member together with the Lower Balmoral and Upper Balmoral Sandstone Members within the 15 & 16 Quadrants has also highlighted the complexity of the area and demonstrated a back-stepping relationship in the sandstone distribution.
